As of October 4, 2025, the Scot Shop has closed. Thank you for supporting the Scot Shop over the years! We’re grateful to our shoppers, donors, volunteers, and employees who helped make the shop a cherished part of our community. While the Scot Shop has officially closed, the impact it made will carry on through the work of Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin.

SCOT SHOP HISTORY

Founded in 1943, the Clearwater Junior League ran a thrift shop on East Street near the railroad tracks in downtown Clearwater. It was a small building but was able to turn merchandise through its doors. It later moved locations to Broadway, north of SR 580.

When the Junior League of Clearwater merged with the Dunedin Service League and became the Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin, in 1986, the joint Leagues purchased the current location on Bayshore Boulevard, located across from the Gulf of Mexico just north of Downtown Dunedin. At that time the thrift store location was moved to Bayshore Boulevard and it became known as the Scot Shop and has been there since!

Members volunteer their time and donate items throughout the year, learning a wide variety of new skills.

The Scot Shop has a noble purpose:

All of the profits from the Scot Shop’s sales go directly to the Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin (JLCD).

What we do with the funds we raise –

The Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin provides training opportunities and support that allows women to develop their own strengths. Members are offered training in a variety of topics including fundraising, event planning, public speaking, business etiquette, financial management and enhancing interpersonal skills.

Tuesday: Open for donations only – please drive around back and ring the doorbell for assistance.
Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: Closed –Open last Saturday of every month 10:00 pm – 5:00 pm for our monthly 1/2 off sale!
